What works

I installed a clean wine prefix. I installed the Microsoft .net framework 2.0 as
per
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=3754.
I then installed Microsoft Office 2007 as per
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=4992 and it is
working.

I next installed

TurningPoint_PC_4_2_3.exe

It opens Powerpoint correctly, and allows me to create polling slides and do other functions internal to Powerpoint.

What does not

The hardware is not recognized by my OS (Ubuntu 10.04), so I can only prepare presentations, not do the actual polling from my machine.

Workarounds

What was not tested

I have not tried opening the presentations on a Windows machine to see if the polls set up under Wine will work. I will update when I have tested it.

Additional Comments

Installs fine after dotnet20 is installed, but only good for presentation prep, not actual polling during presentations
