What works
Installation In order to make things work you have to choose a project from the picklist. Your choice won't load, but it's the only way you can import documents to a new hermeneutic unit later. After that, it's possible: - Importing RTF documents - Coding in vivo - Network view - Relations - Comments
What does not
Saving/Loading. Project quick-launcher. Ordinary workflow. The program reports a "stack overflow" when coding in list mode and its process hangs. The program reports "asStream not understood" when starting a new hermeneutic unit or loading a project. After that, everything which is in the working list stops working. The app is useless at this stage.
Workarounds
What was not tested

Additional Comments
I managed to import RTF documents after installing richd20, richd30 and richtx32 through winetricks, and importing msls31.dll from a windows installation. Also, I installed MS Office 2003 Resource Kit (downloadable from MS site), which is required by Atlas.ti in order to import documents in .doc format. I suppose some similar solution should be used for the .pdf files and Google Earth/Maps integration. I invite others who tried previous versions of atlas.ti/wine to give atlas.ti another try with newer releases. I intuit (I'm not an expert) the problems could be solved by adding some missing libraries and components, but I barely have idea on how to figure out what are them.
