Great graphing and data analysis program. A must for physicists.

Igor's features include:
Some
people use Igor simply to produce high-quality, finely-tuned graphs and

What works
Almost everything if you use the right wine version and the howto I wrote.
What does not
Displaying a graph with several traces using the native GUI (the only solution is the AppendToGraph menu or the command line) although it works in functions.
Workarounds
What was not tested
I only did a few tests on the functions contained in the "Analysis" menu I therefore don't know if they work with the GUI but they do with the command line.
Didn't test the "Macro" menu at all.
I will soon have tests for the amd 64 Ubuntu
Hardware tested

Getting Igor running:
Igor may print an error message the first time it is launched because the MS fonts are missing but you can substitute them with open source fonts.
Misc:
Another annoying behaviour of igor is to
create a lot of shortcuts to all the opened files in the folder it
was launched from (the bash default ~/ makes it quickly really
dirty). The solution I use is to launch it from the /tmp folder.
Some windows are quite slow natively but simply press the ctrl key, it makes them appear (I still don't know why). The other solution I have found to increase the display speed is the option WINEDEBUG = -all before the wine command to launch the igor.exe file (it doesn't spam the bash and therefore it seems to speed up the display)
