Installation and gameplay through chapter four (that's as far as I tested).
All render options on max.
What does not
Resolutions sometimes aren't detected correctly unless in virtual desktop mode. (See other comments.)
Changing the resolution to anything in fullscreen will cause the mouse to get stuck outside of the game.
What was not tested
I tested everything I could think of.
AMD Phenom II x6 1075T @ 4.0GHz 8GB 1600 DDR3 SDRAM WD 128GB SSD NVidia GeForce GTX-260 Driver Version 260.19.36 NOTES: Requires D3D9 w/ Proprietary drivers. When Steam and the game are run in virtual desktop mode the game runs fine at the screen's resolution in full-screen with no problems. Else, the resolutions are messed up and you will probably want to play in windowed mode. Also, changing FROM windowed TO full-screen does not work. You will have to edit settings.txt in "C:\users\[NAME]\Local Settings\Application Data\EA Games\Dead Space 2" and change the lines: Window.Fullscreen = true Window.Width = [YOUR SCREEN WIDTH] Window.Height = [YOUR SCREEN HEIGHT] Overall I give platinum to the game itself, as it is stunningly good, and does work OOTB, but if you want the full-screen resolution fixed you will have to run in Virtual Desktop. I haven't experienced any hiccups at all so far playing the game. Admin note: rating changed to conform to the rating definitions.
