Mafia

Version 1.x of the action game Mafia - The City Of Lost Heaven. It's a third person shooter with car driving and racing elements. You can compare it to newer titles of the Grand Theft Auto series. If you like GTA and games with a good story, you will love Mafia.

What works

Version: 1.1

The game is installable, and the game is able to start and run.

What does not

The sound is buggy as some samples repeat themselves and there are messages in the console about buffer underruns.

The graphics are also a little weird, as most of the HUD is invisible (I think its all static images that are missing). This is a major problem when playing the game.

I have also experienced at least one random crash, but this does not seem to be a major problem at the moment.

I also think there should be a intro-video that was not displayed as I started the first game.

The was problems when I tried to set the controls too, so I have tested the game with default controls.

Workarounds

What was not tested

I have not tested to run through the complete game, as its hard to complete it without beeing able to se the HUD properly.
