Crysis 2 Multiplayer Demo for PC released on 1st March 2011.
It features two maps located in a war-torn Manhattan: “Skylineâ€, set on top of the rooftops and interiors of skyscrapers, and “Pier 17â€, an open environment with limited cover. The demo also features two modes: “Team Instant Action†pits two teams against each other as they kill as many opponents as possible to win the round and “Crash Site,†where players will battle for control of alien drop pods, earning points by guarding their pods and keeping enemies at bay.
Creating MyCrysis account (It was very hard to create one because the servers were overloaded).
Changing screen resolution from the game menu.
Joining to the match.
What does not
When I first launched the demo there was an error about unsuported videocard.
It recognised my videocard 9600GT which has 512MB of memory as a 384MB.
Mouse control doesn't work (Bug 6971) so it's unplayable.
What was not tested
I didn't use any dll overrides. Tested demo on Gamer settings (lowest avalaible) with screen resolution set to my native 1920x1080 and then 1024x768 to overcome run out off system resources. There are some graphical errors in the menu and in the game. I wasn't able to actually play the game. I could join to the match but demo ate my RAM and procesor cycles and probably GPU. So while I was on the map the game hanged. My system: -CPU:AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ @ 2,3GHZ -VGA:nVidia 9600 GT OC 512MB -RAM:GeIL Ultra DDRII 2GB/800 (2 x 1GB)
