Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)

What works
Most everything, basically the same as Summer '09 version.

What does not
Web installer. The "overlay" style login popup appears blank, which does not allow you to login. Install with Windows, then copy to Linux drive.

What was not tested
The usual broken things like FPGA and CAM.

Additional Comments

I had problems with logging into Altium servers, because of their SSL certificates. I had to install the certificates to fix it. Also had to enter for the plugin server which was originally not set.

sudo cp gd_bundle.crt /etc/ssl/certs

Schematic Error
by Alan Cranbury on Wednesday January 23rd 2013, 15:09
I've successfully installed Altium, but when I try to create a new schematic, I get an error.

Access violation at address 1921F02C in module 'AdvSch.dll'. Read of address 00000000 at 1921F02C.

I'm running Gentoo with Wine 1.4.1, is there anything I can do to try to fix this?

Installation and using
by Alex Fliker on Friday August 31st 2012, 15:14
Here are my several pieces of advice. First - for running install without errors copy and ulib.dll from your system32 dir of Windows installation in the corresponding dir of wine. Second - disable the use of DirectX by the AD. To do that open a project, go to preferences, PCB Editing and find DirectX related settings and disable it (or you won't be able to work with PCB). Third, if you got an error screen just press on keyboard button Enter. In most of the cases it helps. If not... kill it when DE with asks you for this. So, fourth, never forget to use Ctrl-S as often as you make some changes!
