Additional Comments

Did the following as suggested by other users: - Winetricks vcrun2005 & dxd9 - Copy msasn1.dll & wintrust.dll from a windows XP installation over at Wine directory -> drive_c/windows/system32/ - run winecfg, add DLL overrides for both msasn1.dll & wintrust.dll under the libraries tab and set them both to "native" If the game refuses to run have a look at /users/user/My Documents/My Games/Warhammer.../Logfiles/warnings.txt. If you're running wine from your home directory and the prefix is located elsewhere (for example under /wine) make sure there are no copies of msasn1.dll & wintrust.dll in your home directory (or you might see an error that "/home/user/wintrust.dll is not trusted" in the warnings.txt file) Once while playing the game i experienced some sound chopping and the console gave this error: "ALSA lib pcm.c:7339:(snd_pcm_recover) underrun occurred" but it was instantaneous and it hasn't happened again since then specs: Wine 1.5.14 compiled from source Debian testing (wheezy) with 3.2.0-4-686-pae kernel Geforce 8500GT Nvidia drivers 310.19 core i3 530 4gig ram
