Additional Comments
I have Steam running (Company Of Heroes Steam version works perfectly). When trying to start Retribution, with "wine DOW2.exe -no-dwrite", Steam shows up, then either 1°) starts installing DirectX (but I have already installed it), then seems to try to start the game and aborts with a window showing an error report. The "warnings.txt" file shows "MOD -- Failed to verify content catalog integrity. Content management system isn't properly initialized." even though I have installed msasn1.dll and wintrust.dll in windows/system32, these files coming from my Windows 8.1 partition. 2°) or, tries to perform the first run of Retruibution but stop with an error code 41: the Steam servers are too busy to accept my connection.
