What works

First level in the single player/campaign, frame rate is acceptable with graphics set to "hardcore"

What does not

Install: Freezes in between (or becomes unbearably slow), mouse: Workaround using MouseWarpOverride=force, but menu becomes only navigable by keyboard, game nags during start that "Unsupported video card detected!".

Additional Comments

Use winetricks vcrun2005 vcrun2008 d3dx10 mwo=force . Set mmdevapi=disabled or compile Wine with OpenAL will make the sound of the intro sequence and the main menu work (otherwise there is no intro sequence at all - so possibly you do not want to activate it without the in-game sound also working), but there is no in-game sound using either methods. Strangely, the sound remains broken even when returning to the main menu. Tested using an AMD Phenom II X4 955 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 using the proprietary driver. Beware that graphics set to "hardcore" can tends to make the GPU very hot.
