Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed

What works

Installation, menu, settings, race (with glitches)

 Installed with a clean wineprefix with only d3dx9_36, vcrun2008, and physx.

What does not

During the race, after a random amount of time, generally relatively quickly, within 15 sec or so, huge black square will start filling the screen.  And more will appear, until filling most of the window.. Then the game becomes unplayable.  

 Going back to menu, and going back to race doesn't make them disappear, you need to exit the game, and restart, and the same will happen again.

Workarounds

What was not tested

Multiplayer, only raced the first race (and even then, only a couple of seconds, till the screen was mostly filled with black squares.)

Additional Comments

I tried to play with the in-game settings, lowering all of them to their lowest possible, and disabling stuff where possible. Didn't helped. Tried to play with the settings in the NVidia control panel and no different. Also tried updating my driver from 295.59 to 304.43, but still the same. After reading a comment in the black square bug page, where it says it also happens on windows, I have found only one issue on the net where it happened on windows, and the guy had a 7300GT... a card from the prehistoric ages.
