Initially, everything I used seemed to work fine, although the graphics seemed to be off a little bit (hard to read some texts, and some of the graphics seemed a little grainy).
What does not
The problem I'm having with it is that although it initially installed
and seemed to be working properly, it stopped working properly after I
re-booted my computer, giving me an error message - with no specifics in the message, other than "Datalink II.exe encountered a serious problem and needs to close".
What was not tested
I did not try the interface between my computer and either the data card or the data cord to car computer to see if either of those worked. I was going to, but have been unable to re-start the program since re-booting my computer.
I've used this program a pretty good bit in Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7, with little or no problems. I tried installing it with Wine a few months ago, with negative results. I don't recall what the issue was. I figured with the newer version of Wine, I would give it another try. I was quite surprised when it seemed to load and work relatively well initially. I was also somewhat surprised when it didn't open again after re-booting my computer. I tried uninstalling the program and re-installing it. It still did not re-open. As a suggestion, you might consider putting a slightly more descriptive text by some of the check boxes and windows. There are a few on this page that I'm not sure what you are looking for. Maybe that's because I'm somewhat new to Linux and Wine, but I'm sure there are others as well who will have the same problem with either being unable to supply information or supplying incorrect information because of not knowing what you really need. Thanks for your help. I hope you can get it working properly. This is about the only item left that I cannot run in Linux that I use at least semi-regularly.
