Installation went mostly smoothly, see What does not work section for more info.
The program itself mostly runs flawlessly provided one workaround I detail below is applied.
What does not
After the game has been installed it complains about not finding support for Win32 and prompts youto install Win32s. The Win32s installer however tells you that Win32 support is present and offers you to test whether it works, but doing so causes a crash in winevdm (if I recall correctly) and the program crashes.
Once in-game, one textbox in the tutorial was cut off slightly and I couldn't seem to turn the Bugz by shaking my mouse around. The former might have been present in Windows too — I can't remember nor verify — but certainly wasn't game-breaking, and as for the latter it might have been an error on my end.
As detailed here: https://www.winehq.org/piperma..., in order to have SimTunes run in Wine you need to edit the file C:/windows/SimTunes.ini and set the properies UseDirectDraw and UseDirectSound to TRUE. Those lines should look like this:
(file cut off above and below for brevity)
Without this workaround the game will tell you to either install DirectDraw or set your computer's monitor to 256 colours.
What was not tested
Installing any language aside from English.
