As noted in the previous test entry, this program requires 16-bit desktop, so setting it up is rather tedious. For more information about how to do this, see: http://wiki.winehq.org/256ColorMode (note that you need 16-bit, not 8-bit) Tested with the Xephyr method. Fastest way to launch it is to open a console window in the program directory, then use: Xephyr :1 -ac -screen 800x600x16 & DISPLAY=:1 wine Arcomage.exe Also note that Arcomage is a windowed application (the menu bar is an integral part of the game), so even though its internal resolution is 640x480, you need to run a larger screen. 800x600 is a little bit too large, so you can experiment a bit with this. Due to the extra X server emulation, the game is somewhat slower than normal, but still playable.
