Age of Conan unchained

What works

Installing and patching works. Install d3dx9 with winetricks, otherwise the patcher will be blank.

The game requires awesomium.dll, which in turn requires dhcpcsvc.dll. I had to download dhcpcsvc.dll to the windows > system folder and add an override for it under Winecfg > Libraries.

The launcher works, so does changing settings from the launcher.

I played long enough to create a new character and log in with the new character.

What does not

ConanSystemTweaker crashes each time the game client is loaded. This doesn't prevent the launcher from loading though.

The game does not run in windowed mode for me. The following error pops up when I click the Start button:

 Undeterminable device state. screen 1366 768, window 1360 743, d3d 1360 743, windowed 1 - 0x8876086c

This is easily fixed by going into the Graphics tab in winecfg and emulating a virtual desktop.

Workarounds

What was not tested

Everything beyond the newbie area.

The game was very choppy on my laptop (using the intel i915 drivers). It worked a lot better with the hybrid nvidia card.
