ÂCold War Crisis: 1.30NAME: Operation Flashpoint, Operation Flashpoint: Resistance Expansion VERSION: 1.30, 1.75
Game is almost fully playable, if not the GFX / SFX bugs, nice
User can play the game, change GFX mode, all is nice
What does not
Sound is broken:
(I tested in ALSA driver) - it sems that samples are not aligned to size of 4 (bytes? samples?) as I get tons of errors:
err:dsound:DSOUND_PhaseCancel length not a multiple of block size, len = 4850, block size = 4
err:dsound:DSOUND_MixOne underrun on sound buffer 0x3d5c0d18
In result, almost every sample repeats several times, like "Team red, Fire! ire! ire! ire! ire!"
"Tenenenen oclockckckck, enemy!my!my!my!"
which is quite irritating, alsmo sometimes sounds jumps a bit etc.
GFX is broken:
But still it is much nicer in 0.9.11 then it was in 0.9.7
GFX Fixed since 0.9.7
* no more "ground become all red / all green / all blue after shooting (dynamic lights broken?)
* Z buffer do not work - peoples inside vehicles are randomly visible thorught them (flickering), roads are flicerking (also other ground markers), shadows are strange, smoke/clous are visible through ground and objects
* Too many lights problems sometimes - too many light something, and not implemented state change
What was not tested
Please fix the remaining issue, especially sound, it is a nice game :)

Install graphic card drivers, with native OpenGL. Do not enable TwinView, or dual screen.
On 64-bit systems, the 32-bit graphic driver libs need to be installed too, other wise the game wont start, complaining about missing DirectX.
Copy all files from a windows installation, as they are, to the wine drive.
(Contents of C:\Program Files\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint)
Save your ID from a windows registry in a .reg file, with these two keys:
"Player Name"="Your Name"
Apply these registry settings in your Wine instance. Verify them, as you may need to set these manually within the regedit of wine.
Start the game with "wine FLASHPOINTBETA.EXE -nosplash [-mod=@YourMod] .."
Once the game started, start a wine task manager with: "wine taskmgr" and set the CPU affinity for the flashpoint process to a single CPU. Other wise there will be massive lag in multiplayer after a few minutes.
