QuikGrid

What works

The following were tested and performed as expected.

The install program.

Input of all supported scattered data types. Data sets up to a size of over a million scattered data points. Input of all supported grid data types. Input of several different "command files", which tends to exercise a lot of the corners of the program.

Viewing of the results in 2d, 3d (with transparent and hidden grid), with and without data points and as lat/lon data. Rotating, zooming and panning the image. Normal and fast screen writing. Printing the image. Copying the image to the clipboard as a bitmap and pasting it into GIMP. All data point viewing options. Outlines (features like roads).

Saving data points to a file. Saving the grid as a Quikgrid grid, an ER Mapper grid, a Surfer Grid and as xyz triplets. Exporting the grid as a DXF file, as a 3D Face DXF file and as a VRML file.

Displaying information for a scattered data point. All grid options. All functions.

Most editable features (feature colors, contour line interval, grid generation options, etc.).

What does not

There is only limited access to the help facility.

Copying the image to the clipboard as a metafile fails.

Viewing an exported VRML file, ER Mapper file or Surfer file.
