rig: AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE @3,2 ghz, 8 GB 1333mhz ram, Nvidia GTX 560 Ti 1GB, kernel 3.1.2 , nvidia driver ver 290.10 , ext4 filesystem game settings: 1280x1024 full, all high from game settings Game runs super smooth without any framerate issues. few graphical anomalies tho. like sometimes some textures turn to completely black. nothing big tho. HowTo / Notes

HOWTO Get Character Rendering working!

1.Download wine 1.3.28 source

2.Get patch from Here

3.Save it as patch.txt

3.Extract the wine 1.3.28 pack

4. cd ~/wine-1.3.28

5.copy the patch.txt into wine-1.3.28 folder

6.patch -p1 < patch.txt

7. ./configure

8. make && make install (or use checkinstall to build package for urself when u using debian based distro)

Alternatively use this *.deb package, if u are lazy to compile your own: wine1.3.29 NOTE! Vertex Blend patch Might not work correctly with ATI/AMD Cards
Wine Tweaks

1.DirectX installation

winetricks directx9

2.Registry Settings:

Run wine regedit (in your prefix) and in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine) create a key called Direct3D and use the following as strings in the above key;

UseGLSL "disabled" (enabled with ATI/AMD cards)

StrictDrawOrdering "enabled" (to avoid weird texture issues)

VideoMemorySize "1024" (set how much MegaBytes your card has)

3.Audio Tweaks(if needed)

run "killall pulseaudio" in terminal, before your start up the game(make sure any other audio app isnt running at the time
