What works

Installation (Installed from the original 1.0 version) Menu Gameplay Sound (All of a sudden when I tried porting it again the game had sound) :/ Progressing in the game up till a certain point.

What does not

Playing up till a certain mission, the one which requires the taking of a supertanker; playing up till one part of the mission, it is fine, until it loads to the next part. Due to the crashing when loading between missions, the game does not save at that loading point, therefore causing the player to be unable to proceed with the game. Other problems are also listed out here: 1. There's this fog/ mist -like thing that appears sometimes during gameplay that causes parts of characters to appear a little translucent. 2. Training levels Course A and B do not work. They are playable but the environment does not render properly. In missions, though, the environment renders properly. 3. There seems to be a shadow problem prominent at times. The shadow will appear all distorted and weird. 4. Loading might take a little while. 5. In-between missions the game runs weird. It is actually supposed to show you the statistics of the mission, but it instead plays the cutscene whilst the statistics is showing. The music from the statistics might be a little weird, but don't mind. Doesn't hinder the cutscene. 6. Audio might be a little out of sync from the game and videos. 7. Final problem I realized: Switching certain settings might cause the character to not render correctly. Therefore, following the settings below will fix that issue. In order to not mess up, it is recommended that nothing be edited in this text document. However, do feel free to experiment with different settings in-game to optimize performance. If the problem re-occurs, then reset these settings. (Taken from portingteam.com) HDR Rendering: Off High Quality Soft Shadows: On Anisotropic Filtering - 8x Shadow Resolution - Low Trilinear Filtering - On High Quality Textures - On Vertical Sync - On Hardware Shadow Mapping - On Environment Detail - Low High Detail Shader - On Antialiasing - 2x 8. When a mission is completed and you move on to the next mission, it will crash. Restart the game and load it again to continue.

Additional Comments

Well, still working on the port a little bit more, went browsing around for the Runtime errors and found this forum: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/954105331/m/2281002535 Downloaded some stuff from the links there, mainly the DirectX, VCrun, and the patch. Found out that in order to workaround and get the .exe to run, have Wine open SCDALauncher.exe instead of adding the -ll thing. I'm not sure how it works.
