WordWeb is a comprehensive one-click English thesaurus and dictionary for Windows. Version 6 is a major upgrade from previous versions, with extensive database revisions and many new features. Optional dictionary databases can be purchased with WordWeb including Oxford Dictionary of English, Chambers Dictionary and Thesaurus or Shorter Oxford English Dictionary. The application should be able play a recorded audio pronunciation or use the Windows' speech engine to produce the sound.

Installation seems to be smooth for both WordWeb and its optional dictionaries (Chambers). The application runs, search works, GUI buttons, keyboard controls and key-bindings, scrolling in the definitions window.

What does not

Audio pronunciation, web references. For additional dictionary (Chambers): Scrolling in the headwords window, the scroll bar of the definitions window, keyboard controls when the focus in the definitions window.
