What works
-Make calls
-Receive calls
-Directory functions
-Network services
What does not
-Audio Configuration Wizard must be killed as it will fail after testing sound:
run
$ ps -A | grep Audio
to get pid of AudioTuningWizard.exe then kill
$ kill
-Minimizing or moving between screens sometimes makes the window to disappear, app still works but you won't be able to use it as there's no way to bring it back other than killing and restarting.
Workarounds
What was not tested
-Cisco Unified Video Advantage

Additional Comments
You need to override crypt32.dll otherwise install will not work as it will not be able to install root certificates. Sometimes APP will complain about no compatible audio adapters installed on computer (this is a bug with pulseaudio-alsa layer) for this there are multiple work around: 1) Start winecfg and test audio devices, then run app while winecfg is opened 2) remove registry entry: HKCU/Software/Cisco Systems, Inc/Communicator/NetworkCurrentAdapter and then re-start CIC, it will prompt you to enter a valid network device to use, then audio will be recognized 3) Use alsa device instead of pulseaudio (not suggested as it causes audio device to be locked down by CIC and will not be available for any other app or system) 4) run before running CIC: $ killall pulseaudio; sudo alsa force-reload; then reconfigure audio devices with winecfg
