Way I was able to get UDK installed: 1. Create new WINEPREFIX. 2. Make sure the unzip package is installed on your system since, surprisingly enough UDK*Install*.exe is actually a self-extracting archive. 3. unzip UDK into a directory of your liking. I used ~/UDK/ I have not gotten UDK to run yet due to: err:module:import_dll Library X3DAudio1_7.dll (which is needed by L"Z:\\home\\draygera\\UDK\\Binaries\\Win32\\UDK.exe") not found err:module:import_dll Library XAPOFX1_5.dll (which is needed by L"Z:\\home\\draygera\\UDK\\Binaries\\Win32\\UDK.exe") not found err:module:LdrInitializeThunk Main exe initialization for L"Z:\\home\\draygera\\UDK\\Binaries\\Win32\\UDK.exe" failed, status c0000135 4. To run UDK, go to Binaries/Win32 (or Win64 if using 64-bit prefix: haven't tested this yet) and type: wine UDK.exe Will test out more later.

it doesn't install because it needs .NET framework 3.5.

if we don't get that working, this won't work either.
