program installs, and some functions seem to work ok
What does not
1. when exporting to html5 files a black rectangle covers most of the monitor: it can't be removed, and it's then impossible to do anything other than kill the app. (It seems that the exported files don't work on chrome on ubuntu, but that might be a separate problem)
2. loading of png files and editing bitmaps (eg as sprites or as background tiled image) produces very fuzzy greyscale noise, as if the bitmap is not coded properly. Makes strange .png files when exported
3. bitmap editor has a leaky pen that squirts ink everywhere even when you aren't drawing
4. keyboard operations often have no effect until you make a mouse click. Eg undo (ctrl-Z) looks like it did nothing, but when you click somewhere you find that it did...
What was not tested
most of the program, since the things not working made it unusable. I got as far as the second page of the tutorial before giving up.
it might be usable for editing properties and so on, but I think you would struggle to create a game...
