-installing works fine - both 32 bit version and 64 bit version. I installed it the standard way, no winetricks and automatically detect 32/64 bit. It detected 64 bit.
-the editor - i coundt manage to crash it. It complained that I have old graphics card drivers, but still worked fine. I tried crashing the event sheet or the scene- tried changing fonts to crash it - still worked fine. Couldnt crash it. Panning doesnt seem to give me any issues. Minimizing and maximizing works fine too. It seems very stable.
-Editing games and exporting them - the exported games work too! I tried with the two example games from scirra- opening the html5 game in firefox works. The game doesnt start in chromium for some odd reason.Â
-Registering the software license works fineÂ
What does not
The only thing that did not work is the big round "Run Layout" button, nor the "Debug Layout" button.
Clicking on those makes construct2 try to create a localhost and run the game in your browser. Unfortunately Wine spills a bunch of "stub!" error messages in terminal that lead me to believe that this is due to a lacking httpapi implementation in wine:
 fixme:httpapi:HttpAddUrl ((nil), L"http://localhost:5100/", (nil)): stub!
Some other users at the scirra forum confirmed this too.Â
This is a huge issue, because it forces you to re-export the game every time you want to test a bit of new logic you added. Exporting takes several minutes. The Run layout button in contrast runs the game immediately.
What was not tested
The debugger, since I cant playtest it.
