Alganon

What works

Installation, Patching, Logging in, Character Creation, Sound Effects, Music, Changing Settings, Playing (tested starting area only).

= Installing =
I used the full client and and a clean WINEPREFIX. (For 64 bit users you will need to add "export WINEARCH=win32" when installing dotnet20).

winetricks vcrun2008 dotnet20

The installer still complained about the 2008 C++ runtime libraries being out of date so I just clicked "yes" for the installer to install an update.

= Playing/Updating =
winetricks d3dx9_36 gdiplus

If the patcher (Launcher.exe) crashes, try starting the client (Alganon.exe), exit it, and then restart the patcher.   You may have to do this a few times for the game to fully patch.

I also have corefonts installed but I don't believe they are a needed.

What does not

Some graphical anomalies, for instance, tree leaves flicker when viewed from certain angles, a wavy, watery like effect can be seen on lines that should be ridged, and everything is very dark with no in-game options for adjusting brightness/gamma.
