If the chat window issue can be fixed, I would bump the rating of this program up to Silver or Gold. However, since this is an IM program if you can't open an IM window without a crash it's pretty much useless. This testing was conducted with a totally virgin installation of Fetion, no DLL overrides or winetricks used. **Installation Instructions** NOTE: This client is in simplified Chinese. If you can't read simplified Chinese, I suggest you use Google Chrome's built in translation service or some other translation service to help you get things installed and to register an account with the Fetion website. From there, you're on your own. 1. Go to http://feixin.10086.cn/download/pcclient/ and click the green button that appears in the the picture next to the dragon. 2. The downloaded file should have a sha1sum of 10cc9c18b9864dd4c1a4a4b263e46ea2570d4446 3. I created a separate wine prefix (bottle) for my installation. To do that, type the following command into terminal: $ export WINEPREFIX=$HOME/.nameofyourdirectoryhere 4. Next, navigate to where you downloaded the Fetion installation file in terminal and type: $ LANG=zh_CN.utf8 wine /your/path/here/Fetion_2012_January.exe Doing this will tell wine to install Fetion into your newly created prefix using a Chinese language environment. 5. The Fetion installer should start up. There will be a warning saying your windows version is too old. Ignore it and continue. (Click the left button) 6. Keep clicking the left button until Fetion finishes installing and the client starts. 7. Put in your username and pass and Fetion should start with no problem.
