Everything,installed with wine 1.9.23-staging 32 bit and amd gpu with free drivers. Excellent fps.See instructions in additional comments.

Note(if you own an nvidia gpu perhaps it is best to follow the older guides,because the previous test data which were with nvidia gpus+drivers did not work for me.)

Wine 1.9.23-staging with 32 bit prefix set to windows xp and csmt patch enabled. Wine3d registry settings set to: renderer=opengl ,vram=match the gpu size ,strict draw ordering=disabled. Insructions: DLL overrides required:amstream devenum wmp10 xvid and quartz from winetricks. Install amov4ie in your prefix from: http://howto.landure.fr/gnu-linux/installer-directx-9-0c-avec-wine/amov4ie.exe to resolve performance and video issues. Run "regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\amstream.dll" from wine terminal to register amstream.dll in the x3:tc windows prefix. Finally install the game and launch it. If the game crashes on launch reinstall quartz because sometimes it gets overwritten,if you change wine version on the same prefix,or if you install new stuff in the same prefix.

X³: Terran Conflict or short x3tc will run out of the box, but voices, music and movies will not work. In order to fix that, you need to do the following steps:
