Playing the game.  After login, I can briefly see the character creation screen, a second later I'm booted back to the login screen.  There is an error, but the font is unreadable.

The game utilizes GPK (Game Protect System).  I'm assuming the error/getting kicked out is because of that.

Additional Comments

- vcrun2005 was necessary to start the launcher. - Tried allfonts some d3dx9_** overides to try and fix font, but none helped. Tried adjusting the font in the game folder otherdata/fonts, but nothing changed. - If your mouse gets "stuck" to the launcher window, hit enter, it should release it. - To select a server, double click the last entry in the left side window of the launcher (text almost unreadable), the open beta server should then show up. - Lots of quartz fixmes, cleaned up by winetricks quartz. Didn't notice any changes other then less fixmes scrolling by.

To install:

1. Delete the vc80 manifest from /windows/winsxs/manifests before running the installer. (The installer will then install its own vcrun).
2. Install quartz and devenum with winetricks (needed to get sound).
3. Install gdiplus with winetricks (fixes the garbled fonts on the login screen).
4. Run the installer.

If you don't have the MS fonts installed systemwide you may also need to install winetricks corefonts. Ubuntu users may need to run winetricks fontfix before installing gdiplus.

Note that Wine will recreate the vc80 manifest every time Wine is updated, and you will have to delete it again. Making that directory read-only will prevent this.
