Maintainers: About Maintainership
What works
Installation, start-up, video settings, audio settings, control settings all work, in-game features and game play all work.
What does not
The opening animation crashes the game. Audio is sometimes poor quality. Extended play sessions can overheat my machine.
Workarounds
What was not tested
I have so far only played a few hours of the game, so I haven't tested the game through to completion. Nor have I experimented with all the video settings.

Additional Comments
In order to get the game to run, I had to disable the winegstreamer library in the Libraries tab of winecfg. This disables the opening animation (see bug 30557 below) which otherwise prevents the game from starting. I also had some trouble with the game not registering keyboard commands. However, turning on the virtual desktop in the Graphics tab appears to have fixed that problem. I am running the game at screen resolution 1152 x 864 x 16 on a 1400 x 900 px monitor. I play on a Dell laptop (Intel chipset), with dedicated Quadro NVS 160M graphics and the proprietary driver version 304.51.

Apparently if you install "dinput" and/or "dinput8" (fairly certain it's dinput8 though), that will fix the issue where you get "ghost" input that makes you constantly turn and run forward (at least that's what it was for me).
