Additional Comments

Game installs and runs on clean wineprefix, but gameplay halts after exiting the first linking bubble and encountering Yeesha (bug 31586) Running "winetricks directmusic" and restarting did allow the cutscene to run and proceed with the game through the K'Veer age, but all of the linking books are blank and unclickable when opened, so the player is unable to link to any other ages in the game and the game cannot be played to completion. The linking book animations work in the game environment, it's only when they're picked up that the pages appear blank. The area where the animation "should" be is not registered as clickable so the books can't be interacted with, only set back down.

shimmering dome in the starting area

Did you come further then the issue that breaks the game at this point is that when the person appears behind you after walking out of the shimmering dome in the starting area? She does not animate in any way, and does not make any sounds. The camera view, however, still moves as if to follow her. I have tried to progress to further areas of the game, but it seems that maybe something needs to be done by the person, but can not be done because of the lack of movement.
