Rising Storm/Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad

What works

Game now runs with the latest 'Game of the Year' patch. Installation of .NET 3.5 fails, but the installation doesnt halt. Wait for the second step to run (perhaps 2-3 min) and the game will autostart. Unfortunately, you have to do this every time you start the game. There is also some slowdown when you first start a new map, but it goes away after you've played for a minute or so. Sound, graphics, etc seem perfect (except for one thing - see below). Just stay away from PB servers, 90% of those will kick you.

What does not

1. Punkbuster servers (this is a known issue with PB) 2. Weapon select (when you are selecting class, the weapon select area to the right is blank. You can still play, but you'll be using the default weapon/pistol for that class) 3. Steam overlay. Probably because the installation actually fails, Steam overlay doesnt seem to work. 4. Did not test AA, but I doubt it works.

This game would probably be Gold (not Platinum because of the PB issue) if .NET 3.5 would install.
