HowTo / Notes

Solution/workaround for minor bugs when running WYSIWYG Web Builder

1.) When dragging a element from the toolbox and placing it in the edit window, you will sometimes need to press the Shift button on your keyboard in order to release and place the element in the edit window.

2.) When publishing a text box as image only JPG format seems to be working (do not use gif or png).

3.) When saving your site for the first time in *.WBS format you need to type the full filename (including .WBS): "nameofmysite.WBS" otherwise it will save with no file extension.

1.) Fonts are sometimes listed several times in the dropdown boxes. This is only a cosmetic issue, fonts still work.
2.) Some extensions (not a part of the software) are not working.
3.) TextArt is not working.

Hi Ronny,
I've been running successfully WWB on my laptop with Ubuntu Lucid but now trying on Natty on my new PC - it works well except important fact:
Text field's hight. No matter what value you enter remains or returns to "1". You can edit the text if you manage to locate it and double click it but you cannot see it after you click away your mouse!
Any solutions? :-)

difficulties publishing

WWB8 and WWB6 work very well on wine 1.4, except publishing to FTP server.
I filled all fields of Publish Editor box just exactly like on Windows, but it sends the back message: "Please enter valid hostname".
The hostname I use on Windows doesnt work on Ubuntu Linux?
Hope this can be fixed... Otherwise, very promising!
