0) Install d3dx9 1) Install game 2) remove D3Dx9_43 (ybder the Game installation directory) 3) Install the following: winetricks d3dcompiler_43 winetricks --force xact winetricks --force xact_jun2010 I followed one of the older comments - could probably do with less install
