What works

Installs from Steam, runs, important bits are working. Requires NoSteam executable from Egosoft.

What does not

Intro movie doesn't seem to work. Game ran extremely slowly, even with WINEDEBUG=-all. Basically unplayable, but could also be the hardware (dual core, nvidia 9400GT).

The following steps were required: $ winetricks amstream devenum dxdiag wmp10 wsh57 The NoSteam executable was also required to start the game without crashing. This is available directly from Egosoft's website at http://www.egosoft.com/download/x3ap/bonus_en.php (requires an account with a registered copy of X3TC or X3AP). I ran the game with the following commands: $ export WINEDEBUG=-all $ cd "$WINEPREFIX/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/x3 terran conflict" $ wine X3AP_n.exe
