This post on the Guild of Writers forum provided me with the fix for the sound fx woes: http://forum.guildofwriters.org/viewtopic.php?f=86&t=4203 On Fuduntu you can just: 1 - beesu yum install wxPython sox 2 - Download these two files from my Dropbox: wxSoundDecompresser.py - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7464199/wxSoundDecompress.py and MOUL-1.906.xml - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7464199/moul-1.906.xml 3 - Make wxSoundDecompress.py executable and run it 4 - Choose the folder to which you installed Uru Live to and the xml file I provided 5 - Hit start and wait for the script to finish You can now play Uru on Fuduntu without any static or popping sound effects.
