What was not tested
Rendering performance is a bit low. The PBA patches for wine (which were also tested) significantly improve the performance, but lead to missing wheels on cars and missing UI elements.

If you follow the bugtracker you'll see there are ongoing efforts making GFWL working with wine. Codemasters announced to remove GFWL from Dirt3 in future. Nevertheless it is possible to run Dirt3 flawlessly with good performance. Gamepads won't be recognized, tough.
If you are going not to use Rapture3D you have to set openal32.dll builtin to avoid random crashes at start. Everyone else wants native openal32.dll.
If you experience crashes during "Dirt Tour" with the error:
Remap all keys ingame even if you don't actually change them.
Change language by setting LOCALE registry key.
