What works

Downloading from Steam (client installed in a clean 32 bit wineprefix), installing and launching the game.

Changing video/audio settings, graphics render fine, sound works without problems.

Played campaign, galactic conquest and instant action for several hours. All modes work perfectly.

What does not

Menus don't scale correctly with nVidia driver (375.26) installed, same issue as described by user Maxwell.

The workaround presented by user Tristan (launch options -> /win) works, but if applied the game stays in windowed mode all the time.

Bug #29582 ist still present, but does not really affect gameplay.

Steam Proton Compatibility

This game is officially supported by the Steam Proton compatibility tool. For this reason, I am no longer actively maintaining this app with new Wine versions.

To enable Steam Proton, open your Steam settings. Select "Steam Play" from the left-hand side, and check the box for "Enable Steam Play for supported titles". You will then be able to install and play the game as if it were natively supported on Linux; Steam Proton will set everything up for you automatically at first launch.
