Additional Comments
Borders are black, may be because lack of Qt libraries? (Using Lubuntu 12.04 x86_64) I just have Battlefield 3 in my Origin account, so I coudn't download it while setting Wine in WinXP (BF3 runs only from Vista/7), and when it's set to Windows 7, it requires administrative privileges.

Some applications may work better with a 32-bit wineprefix (this is obviously not true for 64-bit games). You may also have to install some native DLLs to get a game working (commonly this is done with winetricks) - some of them may only work in 32-bit mode (these are issues in Wine, winetricks can't do anything about them).
To install Origin in a separate 32-bit wineprefix issue the following commands:
export WINEARCH=win32
export WINEPREFIX="$HOME/.wine.Origin-32-bit
wine OriginSetup.exe
From now on, simply use the Desktop launcher to start Origin. If you want to start Origin from a terminal, you have to export the WINEPREFIX (repeat above command) first whenever you open a new terminal.
It's recommended to use the Origin Desktop launcher.
If you want to start it from a terminal you should first change into Origin's installation directory.
Example for default installations:
cd ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files\ \(x86\)/Origin
wine Origin.exe
Example for 32-bit installations (see above):
export WINEPREFIX="$HOME/.wine.Origin-32-bit"
cd $WINEPREFIX/drive_c/Program\ Files/Origin
wine Origin.exe
To avoid this simply disable Origin in Game. Start Origin and click in the menu
Origin
-> Application Settings
-> Origin in Game
-> Untick "Enable Origin in Game"
Symptoms:
This issue is tracked in bug #35041.
Workaround:
Use taskset to force the app on one CPU core only. Execute in a terminal:
taskset -c 0 wine Origin.exe
Be warned that this may decrease the overall performance of games launched from Origin.
This issue is tracked in bug #33159.
There's a patch for wine in this bugreport which workarounds this problem. Please note that it is very "hacky" and not a clean solution (while it solves problems for Origin it may cause other apps fail), so this patch can't be added to official wine. To use it you need to download the wine sources, apply the patch and compile your own Wine.
Symptom: Both OriginSetup.exe and OriginThinSetup.exe fail to install/update successfully since Origin version 9.5.11.2855. You get a message "Error installing Origin: Something went wrong during the installation. Please reinstall Origin" and afterwards "UPDATE ERROR: Your update could not be completed. Please download and install the latest version of Origin from https://download.dm.origin.com/origin/live/OriginSetup.exe".
Fixed in Wine 1.7.55 (2015-11-13, bug #38417).
Workarounds:
Symptoms:
Workaround for earlier wine versions:
killall EAProxyInstaller.exe
The game should immediately become ready to play. If you kill EAProxyInstaller.exe too soon, Origin will keep offering to install the game. Killing the process too soon is not harmful and the game can always be installed again.

This still installs Origin in a more minimal way, and I have yet to need to update Origin, but the game certainly seems to run faster under Proton. I believe others have reported success as well with different games - might be worth a try. Proton doesn't run on macOS though, though I think many of the games do have macOS releases.

Install inotify-tools (apt install inotify-tools).
Then navigate to the "Program Files (x86)" folder in your wine prefix, and run the following in a separate terminal window. Start it *before* you start the origin installer, and leave it running until the installer is done.
"while true; do inotifywait Origin; chmod u+w Origin; done"
Worked flawlessly for me on Debian 10.

My installation of Origin on Debian (both stable/10 and testing) shows me the following message in a popup window, any time I try to run Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order:
"We've noticed your computer is currently offline. To activate your game on this computer using your EA Account, you'll need to connect to the Internet"
Closing the message window will exit the game execution.
Needless to say, the computer is definitely connected to the Internet, and the same EA Origin can browse all the pages displayed in the client with no errors. I haven't been able to find any previous Linux or Wine literature related to the issue.
This issue has been experienced with a few running methods:
- SteamPlay (out of the box);
- Steam on Wine;
- Origin on Wine.
And with several Wine versions, including 5.12-staging.
This issue hasn't been experienced at all if I test it in the same conditions in a different distribution, such as Ubuntu or Pop_OS!
Do you know if there is any specific configuration in Debian which might conflict with Origin accessing to the Internet?
Do you know what I could additionally investigate for the issue?
Cheers,
Dave

From the Debian changelog of ca-certificates:
> ca-certificates (20200601) unstable; urgency=medium
> [...]
> The following certificate authorities were removed (-):
> - "AddTrust External Root"
> - "Certinomis - Root CA"
> - "Certplus Class 2 Primary CA"
> - "Deutsche Telekom Root CA 2"
> - "GeoTrust Global CA"
> - "GeoTrust Primary Certification Authority"

> - "GeoTrust Universal CA"
> - "thawte Primary Root CA"
> - "thawte Primary Root CA - G2"
> - "thawte Primary Root CA - G3"
> - "VeriSign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority - G4"
> - "VeriSign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority - G5"
> - "VeriSign Universal Root Certification Authority"
I managed to test this workaround with Jedi Fallen Order in Debian Testing, it would be great if you could test it as well:
1. downgrade the package to version 20190110 [3], `sudo dpkg -i ca-certificates_20190110_all.deb`;
2. reconfigure the package with `sudo dpkg-reconfigure ca-certificates` and add the following certificates that got removed:
- mozilla/thawte_Primary_Root_CA.crt
- mozilla/thawte_Primary_Root_CA_-_G2.crt
- mozilla/thawte_Primary_Root_CA_-_G3.crt
- mozilla/GeoTrust_Global_CA.crt
- mozilla/GeoTrust_Primary_Certification_Authority.crt
- mozilla/GeoTrust_Primary_Certification_Authority_-_G2.crt
- mozilla/GeoTrust_Primary_Certification_Authority_-_G3.crt
- mozilla/GeoTrust_Universal_CA.crt
- mozilla/VeriSign_Class_3_Public_Primary_Certification_Authority_-_G4.crt
- mozilla/VeriSign_Class_3_Public_Primary_Certification_Authority_-_G5.crt
- mozilla/VeriSign_Universal_Root_Certification_Authority.crt
3. launch the game.
(which certificates are the ones really needed I cannot say, see below why).
In doing so, the game apparently got activated and it did not give me the error message "We've noticed your computer is currently offline...", and I managed to continue with my saved games from some months ago.
Now a weird thing: to confirm the issue, I reverted back the changes above so to use the current version of ca-certificates; to my surprise, the game still works and the activation issue has not reappeared. I cannot jump to any conclusion yet, but it might be that this activation happens only once or once in a while. For this reason, I wasn't able to try again (yet) this workaround and find which of the certificates above are the correct ones for EA games.

Rectifying the above, it worked up until a system reboot.
I managed to reproduce the problem, the missing certificates (removed in ca-certificates 20200601) that make the activation process to fail are the VeriSign ones listed in my previous message.
Here a workaround for Debian Testing (see also for a related issue: Debian bug #962596, message #43 [1]):
1. download the ca-certificates package version 20190110 [2]
2. extract the content from the package and take these certificates ('data.tar.xz', folder 'usr/share/ca-certificates/mozilla'):
- VeriSign_Class_3_Public_Primary_Certification_Authority_-_G4.crt
- VeriSign_Class_3_Public_Primary_Certification_Authority_-_G5.crt
- VeriSign_Universal_Root_Certification_Authority.crt
3. create the folder '/usr/local/share/ca-certificates/extra' and put the three certificates there
4. update the certificates with 'sudo update-ca-certificates'
5. run Jedi Fallen Order, it should manage to get activated
Other EA games should manage to get activated as well.

# Regressions in Wine 5.6-5.8 with bug 44985
Versions of wine (and wine-staging) greater than 5.5 are suffering of some regressions that apparently impact on the issue reported in the bug 44985 [1]. At the time of writing, basically wine 5.6-5.8 might make the application unusable.
# Requirements and workarounds
Winetricks can be used to met some requirements for the application and to apply workarounds to known bugs. In details, it can be used to install:
- vcrun2019 (required by the application)
- arial (workaround for bug 32342 [2])
- nocrashdialog (to stop the numerous crash dialog windows, but read the FAQ first [3])
# DXVK warning
With DXVK (at the time of writing DXVK 1.6.1) the application might crash when using integrated Intel GPUs.
# Origin Helper Service warning
This service is enabled by default by Origin and it starts automatically every time wine runs, possibly interfering with some processes (e.g. winetricks and even winecgf might not work with it!). The service can be disabled in the Origin application (Settings/Applications/Start-up options) or via wine regedit by finding the Origin Web Helper service in 'Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\' and changing the value of 'Start' from 2 (Automatic) to 3 (Manual).
# Running the application from the proper path.
No matter how trivial it might sound, but when running the application from a shell the working directory should be the Origin installation path, e.g. '/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Origin'.

I believe this worked with wine-stable, when I started one game downloading. After it was in process, I updated to wine-staging for other reasons (WoW - which works with staging but not stable), and now Origin won't download anything (it finished the first download but failed on all the DLC, as well as subsequent downloads).
I could try a workaround of downgrading to wine-stable, starting the download, then re-installing wine-stable but that's a really klunky workaround and I'd prefer other ideas. I believe this is related to UAC but I'm not sure how to fix it. I have tried runas /trustlevel:0x20000 with no change in the behavior.

Well, that didn't go as planned
Origin encountered an issue loading this page. Please try reloading it – if that doesn’t work, restart the client or try again later.
Have tried on Windows 10, 8 and 7 (was previously working perfectly fine on Windows 7). The issue popped up immediately after updating WINE. It was working, I closed it out and killed the wineserver, updated, immediately re-opened origin after the update, and am now experiencing this issue.
I don't see any terminal output showing an obvious problem, but this may be a regression of some kind in 5.0-rc2.
by Matthew Swaringen on Saturday September 14th 2019, 0:29
I noticed this had new origin files, so I removed the old Origin files, and then replaced them with the contents of the Staged folder.
I started the application back up in Lutris (using lutris-wine-4.13, had issues using other versions) and it worked and didn't give me any error about offline signin/etc.
by Matthew Swaringen on Saturday September 14th 2019, 2:19
And then, once you do that, it appears you can use the game installed anywhere else, so long as you are using the same wineprefix that has that particular copy of origin.

Does anyone know of a workaround for this issue?

$ while true; do chmod 777 Origin; done
while that's running, open the full installer
> download.dm.origin.com/origin/live/OriginSetup.exe
and install Origin normally, however you can't login due to to the message "Online login is currently unavailable"
by Adam Bolte on Friday February 16th 2018, 8:32
$ wget https\://download.dm.origin.com/origin/live/OriginSetup.exe
The correct update zip file is actually included within - no need to download it separately.
$ unzip OriginSetup.exe 'update/*.zip'
Archive: OriginSetup.exe
warning [OriginSetup.exe]: 640000 extra bytes at beginning or within zipfile
(attempting to process anyway)
inflating: update/OriginUpdate_10_5_11_27975.zip
Now we can extract this to our Origin directory. Say our wineprefix directory was called "./origin-dead_space" we could simply run:
$ rm -f ./origin-dead_space/drive_c/Program\ Files\ \(x86\)/Origin
$ unzip update/OriginUpdate_10_5_11_27975.zip -d ./origin-dead_space/drive_c/Program\ Files\ \(x86\)/Origin
Tested to work with Wine 3.1 with the bcrypt-Improvements and crypt32-ECDSA_Cert_Chains patch sets from Wine staging applied. My repo with those applied can be found here at github.com/boltronics/wine in the wine-3.1-origin branch.

But QtWebEngineProcess.exe is crashing every time I'm starting Origin. Its window is staying on the screen but remains empty. When clicking the error message, the procedure repeats. When closing the window, a second Origin window is coming up, remaining empty and crashing QtWebEngineProcess again.
I've tried to start Origin.exe with an older wineprefix, where this error doesn't occur with "vanilla" 2.19-staging (here, of course, Origin can't login into their servers). And I've tried to start OriginSetup.exe within a fresh wineprefix.
Is there something I can do or try at this point?
by Adam Bolte on Thursday February 22nd 2018, 18:49
I'm not sure why Origin wouldn't you in with 2.19-staging. I don't believe I ever had an issue with that particular version, so maybe something else is going on here.
I suspect there might be something related to the build process, particularly if you also built the 2.19-staging version you mentioned that wasn't working. When you compile, do make sure after each configure step you don't have any components missing so you have all the required functionality built in.
by Zootal on Saturday July 21st 2018, 14:53
If you manually install Origin, it still crashes the same way, but does not identify the offending program. Either way, you are dead in the water.
Interesting enough, on one of my computers I can get Origin to run and download Sims 4, but when I try to run the game, Origin crashes. I see a ton of d3d11 errors in the console. I installed d3dx11_43, but same thing. I tried this on two different computers, wine 3.12, wine 3.13, 32 bit prefix, 64 bit prefix. No joy. Still looking into this, but so far I'm dead in the water.

PS The interface is a bit buggy - dragging it around on the screen is very erratic, and icons/images of owned games don't show, but so far it's working. I'll post an update if I can actually get Sims 4 to run via Origin.
by Luca Weiss on Wednesday March 22nd 2017, 15:09
Create a fresh wineprefix (32-bit).
Run the installer and leave the default options.
When Origin launches it will tell you that "Your update could not be completed.".
Download origin-a.akamaihd.net/Origin-Client-Download/origin/live/OriginUpdate_9_12_0_34172.zip and put the contents into your_wine_prefix/drive_c/Program\ Files/Origin/ , so that that folder contains a Origin.exe file.
You can then start this Origin.exe and log in.

I decided to fiddle around with things today. From the successful install of the 32-bit wine prefix folder (.wine.Origin-32-bit) I logged into the Origin server successfully (nothing new).
I then copied over the entire contents of the Origin folder to the 32-bit PlayOnLinux folder. Worked again - I was signed in automatically. (It also worked bypassing PoL and just using wine).
I then copied the 32-bit install into the 64-bit PlayOnLinux folder, and I was signed in automatically. Saw my game library, etc. But it was still the legacy version of Origin.
I then copied a Windows 10 64-bit working installation over to the 64-bit PlayOnLinux folder, and... it updated. The stupid thing actually updated. I am now running the newest Origin over PoL, winecfg Windows 8.1 and mf.dll disabled in the library. I was logged in automatically. It seems, no surprise, that there is a cookie, somewhere.... but where? I overwrote the entire Origin directory with a working Windows install.
Can games play? I have no idea yet. But I'm downloading Mass Effect: Andromeda. It uses DirectX11, so chances are I'll get a black screen. Later, I'll download an older game to test it.
by Allison on Tuesday March 21st 2017, 10:41
Using PlayOnLinux 64-bit install.
Mass Effect Andromeda hangs in processes and does not work or even load a window (expected).
Mass Effect 3 works, but Origin crashed (while downloading its DLCs) while I was playing the base game. It crashed just before I was going to exit the initial cutscene and enter actual gameplay. The game successfully connected to the Bioware server.
After the crash, Origin would not properly open, and experienced a "serious issue" each time. Once I removed the partial download of the Mass Effect 3 folder, Origin opened without issue. I then replaced the incomplete game folder in Origin Games, and recommenced the download without issue.
by Nick Olson on Thursday February 23rd 2017, 16:35
Just download this and paste its contents in '/home/user/.wine/drive_c/Program Files(x86)/Origin/' (Assuming you have a 'default' install of both wine and origin). These files are for Origin Legacy Installer 32 bit.
This should let you start Origin if it couldn't connect to the internet to install.
by Allison on Friday March 10th 2017, 9:02
I copied the legacy files from the above link. I don't want to have to install it onto my Windows laptop (and thereby uninstalling regular Origin). I don't know if that would work anyway.
I'm not sure why this legacy Origin refuses to work in offline mode. I've played on the newest Origin offline. It's very confusing.
I installed it this time via PlayOnLinux with no difference from a regular install. I get to the "an origin update is ready to install" screen and it doesn't matter if I say "install now" or "go offline". I am just forwarded to the login screen with nothing to do but exit.
Does anyone know which file stores the user's login info? There is one somewhere. If we knew that, this file might be the crucial thing to copy over from a working install, perhaps bypassing any need to have an internet connection. Though if more than a simple cookie could potentially break the install if copied from new to legacy. Anyway, just a thought.

Here is the log from an attempt in a fresh, 32 bit envronment: pastebin.com/AhktEw1P
And from a fresh, 64 bit envronment: pastebin.com/scJWCyBd
Both set to windows 7, since the new installer won't install to an XP environment. I have it working in an XP environment but it's a really old version of Origin and will only start in offline mode.
Haven't had any luck with the legacy installer either. It pops up a window complaining about not being able to download something.
Any ideas?

Same problem.
Installations tried:
- full and thin from Origin direct
- legacy (thin) from Origin direct
- copy working updated installation from Win10 64 laptop
- copy working legacy installation from Win10 64 laptop
Wine: tried all Windows types from 7 upward.
One thing I noticed that I haven't seen mentioned is that OriginWebHelperService.exe consistently pops up with an error message at either on boot trial or upon closing, but also, oddly, when booting up winecfg....
"encountered a serious problem and needs to close": pastebin.com/126eN2ZC
Origin: when launched, through cmd or direct exe launch, there is a blank white window with a black border that obviously crashes or is, at least, unclickable.

A repeated problem from the cmd line origin run is:
fixme:module:find_dll_file skipping L"C:\\windows\\system32\\MSVCP120.dll" because of wrong architecture

So, I seem to be unable to start Origin at all. I'm currently using wine 2.0-rc5 on Arch Linux. It was unable to update itself after using the Legacy Installer, giving the same issue that was noted in the howtos for a bug supposedly fixed in 1.7.x. I downloaded the latest update for Origin in zip form manually and extracted it, and that seemed to work. However, with the windows version set to Windows XP (the default, and what the current latest test said they had it set to), it complains that Origin only works on Windows 7 or newer. If I set it to Windows 7, I get a number of fixmes involving d3d11, and then I get a crash of Origin with an empty error report.
Here's a pastebin of the output of trying to run Origin with the version set to Windows 7:

I think the issue is maybe to do with the legacy OriginThinSetup.exe just not being able to update after being installed. I get this error:
"UPDATE ERROR: Your update could not be completed. Please download and install the latest version of Origin from download.dm.origin.com/origin/live/OriginSetup.exe".
And as I said, I tried to follow the howto under "[Fixed since Wine 1.7.55] Origin(Thin)Setup.exe fails to install or update" because even though it's an old, fixed bug I figured hey it might be relevant, but I guess the zip I got seems to be Windows 7 or higher only? I dunno, I'm kind of lost :P

Is it running fully patched, to the newest version of origin, and is origin online?
Also, 32 bit or 64 bit?
Thanks!
by Dylan Morrison on Wednesday January 25th 2017, 3:24
by Allison on Friday January 27th 2017, 7:17
However, I was running with all 64-bit stuff..... bad idea, I guess, though DA2 crashed before I switched wine to WinXP.
by Allison on Friday January 27th 2017, 7:09
Seriously, I got it running.
Gnome 3.22.2, Arch Linux 64-bit, wine 2.0-rc6
Running on wine with WinXP
But it's still version 9.12 which I assume is the Legacy version. It's set up to update itself, but I guess it won't? Should I turn that off?
The problem however is running newer games (2014+). But... in theory, older games should work.

I'm running wine 1.9.19-1 on a machine with up to date version of Arch Linux. I've tried using a 32bit wine prefix and a couple of different winetricks: d3dx9, dotnet20, dotnet30, vcrun20{10,12,13}. When I try to use the origin installer or thin installer I get the an error that my machine doesn't meet the hardware specifications. The output from wine is long so here is a link pastebin.com/FQvV7352
by Thomas Haugh on Sunday September 25th 2016, 10:11
PS Any of the releases I have tried >=1.8.1-1 gave me the same errors as my original comment.

In the bug report you may point out, that several people are affected here in this thread (however a "me too" in the bug report itself is not useful).
Since this seems to be graphics related (opengl) please tell you're hardware specs.

You need to install an old version of Origin from this link : www.dm.origin.com/download/legacy
Now I can start Origin and Dead Space 3.

Anyway, did you try installing in a fresh wine prefix?
by Bill on Sunday September 4th 2016, 9:30
Sorry about that. I wasn't sure if file a bug would have been the correct tactic.
As for the "fresh prefix" I like playing with Linux a lot so I have probably installed my OS and wine more than once over the lives of Fedora 23 & 24. So If I am understanding "Fresh Prefix" correctly, then I will say yes as in it has been freshly installed more than once. Is that what you mean?
Thanks,
-Bill
by jre on Sunday September 4th 2016, 17:38
So if you did *not* restore your old $HOME/.wine from your previous installation after reinstalling Fedora, then *only* installed Origin, but did *not* install any dll overrides, e.g. with winetricks, then you had a "fresh" prefix. It sounds as if you did so, so everything is good.
Thanks for the bugreport, that's indeed the correct way to tackle problems like you have. Good luck!

There seems to be a URL redirector that functions off a valid client version number and points to the latest update.
secure.download.dm.origin.com/autopatch/2/upgradeFrom/9.12.2.60376/en_US/PROD?platform=PCWIN actually shows the download location in XML as origin-a.akamaihd.net/Origin-Client-Download/origin/live/OriginUpdate_9_12_2_60376.zip
Directly downloading that update and overwriting files in ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Origin allows the client to run fine in Windows 7 mode.
by Erikas Rudinskas on Saturday May 21st 2016, 2:33
I'm using this command:
chmod -R 774 /home//.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/ANYTHING/drive_c/Program\ Files/Origin
And origin launches successfully.

What you will have to do is disable Origin in Games which can be done by going to Application Settings > Origin in Games > Enable Origin in Game (Disable), as if you don't, Origin crashes when you try to launch a new game, and blacklist mf.dll
Now I am using playonlinux so I only know how to do it that way, it might be the same as doing it normally, I don't know. But keep in mind that this is POL I'm talking about, might just have to skip to Wine Configuration part of my tutorial.
To blacklist it, click on Origin in PlayonLinux, then hit configure. Go to the Wine Tab and click Wine configuration (This is where I think you might be able to do this without POL), go to libraries and click and type in the "New override for library" mf.dll and then hit add.
Then click on mf.dll in the existing override box and click edit.
Look for disable, click that, hit okay and you should be good to go.
Just for the extra details, I am using Linux Mint 17.3 MATE 64Bit, Origin is 32bit and the Wine I'm using for it is 1.7.55
by Joel Watts on Wednesday December 30th 2015, 22:29
So if you don't have MATE, it's fine, if you do, switch to something else.

I found during the update, the installer extracts the files to:
~/.wine/drive_c/users/Public/Application Data/Origin/SelfUpdate/
There is also a log under: ~/.wine/drive_c/users/Public/Application Data/Origin/Logs/UpdateTool_Log.txt
The error i was getting was:
2015/9/9 5:38:54.618] FILE_ATTRIBUTE_ARCHIVE: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\Origin.VisualElementsManifest.xml. Last error: [32]
[2015/9/9 5:38:54.618] SetFileAttributes failed.. Last error: [0]
[2015/9/9 5:38:54.618] Attempting deletion operation: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\Origin.VisualElementsManifest.xml. Number of times: [1]. Last error: [0]
So i found a work around to make the update work. During the update f you:
1) move ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Origin/ to a temp directory
2) wait for the install to fail
3) copy the temp directory back, but do not overwrite any files
it should work (worked for me):

I'm telling it to use the win32 architecture.
After running OriginSetup.exe, I copy in the Origin directory from a freshly installed and updated Win7 PC.
I launch Origin.exe (env WINEARCH=win32 env WINEPREFIX="/home/aseelye/.wine32-2" wine Origin.exe) and it let's me log into origin, then I get a message telling me "The program igoproxy.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.".
Next I get an Origin window saying "Origin has encountered a serious problem and must close".
Has anyone else come across this?

The relevant line is:
wine: Call from 0x7b83ba4e to unimplemented function d3d11.dll.D3D11CreateDeviceAndSwapChain, aborting
wine: Unimplemented function
A stub for this function was added in Wine 1.7.47, but as we see in Steve Dawson's bugreport (thanks!), this is not enough for us.
Anyway, in the past there was a tip to disable IGO in the terminal by removing the original IGO32.dll and replacing it with an empty, write-protected dummy. (This stopped working with some version of Origin, so I removed it). Maybe try it again (of course replace $WINEPREFIX and $PROGRAMFILES and maybe check for other IGO files to also replace):
cd "$WINEPREFIX/drive_c/$PROGRAMFILES/Origin"
rm IGO32.dll
touch IGO32.dll
chmod 000 IGO32.dll
Once you can get to the main Origin window again, disable IGO (Origin in Game) via the menu. You may also do this in your Windows installation and then copy that to Linux again. Please report your findings.
by Steve Dawson on Sunday July 26th 2015, 17:36
I tried removing igo32.dll and replacing with a dummy, this just causes an earlier failure to launch. I also tried the same trick with igoproxy.exe with similar results.
Regards,
Steve.
by Steve Dawson on Tuesday July 28th 2015, 20:43
Locate a copy of Origin v9.6.1 and extract it to temp location, copy the IGO32.dll from the temp location to the "$WINEPREFIX/drive_c/$PROGRAMFILES/Origin" folder overwriting the newer version. It may be a good idea to backup the original file first.
Now when Origin is launched, igoproxy.exe will still throw an exception, but the main Origin window will appear after login and allow gameplay.
Hopefully someone can duplicate.
Steve.

I have done some progress since yesterday, for instance, i have got now an operating right analog (this wasn't case yesterday xD) but... i suspect that this is due to FIFA World 'buttondatasetup.ini' (I have solved right analog issue changing 'xbox360' (my gamepad) values to 'default' gamepad)
But... now has been unsetup A,X,B,Y buttons and POV ... i don't know what more can i do ... xD. Don't worry, i'm not interesting in a temp solution ... i wanna learn about Wine and Linux gamepads/joys management ... :)
I attach a copy to 'buttondatasetup.ini' that i have modified ... because i think that could be related with your suggestion about try putting files : dinput.dll dinput8.dll xinput(varius files) and register in winecfg like "native , builit" and try again. Above all WINECFG seems to be promising option but i don't know much about registry w$ edition ... :(
i have noticed also that 'buttondatasetup.ini' is opened using Wine ...
And sorry for bad post... :( if any moderator could delete it ... would be helpful :P

Just go to appdb.winehq.org/ and "Submit App", then fill out your test report. An admin will review your report then, and add the app to AppDB. If you choose to be admin for the new app you may add a remap-controller-HOWTO there.
