There was a dialog box warning of a missing "sbdinst.exe" at the end of the installation, but it did not affect the game and the installation completed successfully.

HowTo / Notes

Disable CSMT

When you find your game to be performing poorly (you will notice on the main menu), follow these steps to disable CSMT:

  1. run regedit e.g. by typing wine regedit
  2. travel to HKEY_CURRENT_USER ? Software ? Wine
  3. Right-click 'Wine' and select 'New' and 'Key' and name it 'Direct3D'
  4. Within 'Direct3D', create a new DWORD value, name it 'csmt'
  5. Set it to 0

Game fails to start

If the game fails to start, try running 'DKII-DX.exe' instead.
