Installing, running, checking for new version (tests Internet connectivity), entering a tax file number (hint for other WINE testers: the fake 'testing' TFN "123456782" will work). Also did some cursory entering of some data. All seems good.
What does not
'Tools' menu --> 'Calculator' doesn't work. Haha.
Correct icon doesn't seem to install properly in the Gnome/WINE apps drawer (uses a generic icon instead), but that may be an Ubuntu problem.
What was not tested
Pre-filling and final lodgment.
Works fine after installing some extras with winetricks: * Execute "winetricks ie7 msxml4". Install both items using the default setting. * Download the eTax .msi file from the maze-like website of the ATO, then install it with "wine msiexec /i etax2012_1.msi". Then you're good to go. Afterwards you should find your *.TAX file(s) in your home folder.
