Additional Comments
Because i played this game on different windows versions I know that this is not a pure wine based bug, I am adding this information so the wine developers would know about this not being their fault. real windows 95 / 98 : works as this game was made for those operating systems. real windows xp : The graphical user interface of the caesar 2 installer and its windows get deformed and shrunk, and placed in the wrong place of the screen. once installed you had slight audio bugs and sometimes an irritating pop up window that is not supposed to be there. windows vista : There was the need to forcefully move a very tiny deformed window from somewhere outside of the screen to the desktop, and then resize it before it would work. most of the time caesar 2 was impossible to play as intended on windows vista.

According to the caesar2.com site, there are a DOS and a Windows95 version of the game. Comments 114 and 117 there describe how to run these on DOSBox and newer Windows versions.
