What works

Installs without errors

first startup runs fine

What does not

1.  After the first startup all subsequent attempts get an error opening Config.XML, found in

/home//.wine/dosdevices/c:/users//Application Data/Helios/TextPad

The file contains a single line of XML, basically just the XML header. It should contain all the configuration information, so looks like it was not written out correctly at shutdown.

Deleting this file allows Textpad to start, but obviously all configuration is lost.

 2.  Attempting to add the Textpad license file causes an UTF-8 exception. The license file is plain text so I'm not sure where the error comes from.

Workarounds

What was not tested

Because of error 2 I did not do further testing.

Additional Comments

I have a dual-boot with Windows 7 Home Premium. Accessing the Windows install of Textpad v5, and running that TextPad.exe using Wine, works fine for some reason.
