Maintainers: About Maintainership
What works
Menus, gameplay (kind of), synchronizing Steam Cloud, saving, loading.
What does not
Sound. In game the character keeps moving in some direction like two of the WSAD buttons were pressed and it tries to hotkey the stuff from inventory sometimes. It varies but basically it's the same: it moves some direction even though you wouldn't press a button. It does take moving buttons but still tries to move to a direction it was first moving to.
Workarounds
What was not tested
Long gameplay, changing graphic settings inside the game.
Hardware tested
Graphics:

This was necessary for me to run Oblivion on Ubuntu 18.04. You may not have to do this in your distro. Solus for example did not require this,
The game has an issue with winegstreamer, and will crash if it is
enabled.
When playing this game on Ubuntu, I had to install DirectX manually. This may not be necessary depending on your distro, but I needed it for Ubuntu 18.04 when installing 3.0 stable from the software center.
