Additional Comments

Wine DLL overrides required:

api-ms-win-crt-private-l1-1-0.dll (native, builtin)

ucrtbase (native,builtin)

Roblox uses protocol handlers to open games from the website. You'll have to create a protocol handler for the 'roblox-studio' protocol.

HowTo / Notes

If you are having issues, make sure you ran "winetricks ddr=gdi". If it still does not work, try wine-staging.

Information regarding OpenGL vs DirectX mode

Both Roblox Player & Studio work far better with OpenGL graphics enabled.

To enable OpenGL mode, open the Roblox Studio, click "File", then "Settings", followed by "Rendering". A prompt will come up saying "Changing settings may make ROBLOX unstable". Click OK. Under the Rendering submenu, change the option "graphicsMode" from "Direct3D" to "OpenGL". Restart Roblox Studio.

The game should now perform much better.
Note about Roblox Linux Wrapper
There is a script available which will manage and set up ROBLOX Player & ROBLOX Studio on your system automatically. To install it, visit and follow the instructions on the page.
