What works

Was able to use the Roblox Studio for all of its capabilities and features

What does not

Wine does not automatically associate the protocols Roblox uses to launch the studio and games, see workarounds for fix.

In order for the studio to allow a log-in without an error for the captcha, you must associate the .desktop file with handling Roblox links. The Roblox Linux Wrapper automatically does this; otherwise, you will have to associate the .desktop file created by Wine to handle "x-scheme-handler/roblox-player" and "x-scheme-handler/roblox_studio". This will allow the Studio to work without any additional workarounds.

What was not tested

Did not test LUA scripting as I do not know LUA

Hardware tested

  • GPU: AMD
  • Driver: open source

Additional Comments

Only marking gold instead of platinum due to Wine not automatically associating protocols handled by installed applications

HowTo / Notes

Easily installing and running Roblox

Wrappers such as Grapejuice and Roblox Linux Wrapper make installing and running Roblox much easier.

Both projects have an installation guide on their pages.
