What works

I was able to do everything that Icould in windows with it. Even ran a little faster than it did in windows xp.

Multi-core rendering. Adding bunch of add-ons. Voice chat. Loading off of an NTFS file system isn't super slow anymore.

No more prop kill crash!

Was able to run with vsync on, without the mouse delay. It felt like vsync was off but it wasn't. Very cool.

What does not

Had a bug, but I believe it is game specific, (happened in windows too.) If I hit escape and then click return to game, it will ignore a lot of my keys and mess with my hud a little, forcing me to kill it. Was able to work around this by simply hitting escape to return to game.

Additional Comments

Over all it performs really well. As good or better than windows xp. (No kidding around either.) I was playing on space build servers with a lot of shooting and explosions going off and it handled it just fine. No loading lag (except when 25+fusions go off). No crashes. Had to set dwrite to disable. Have to use appropriate driver for your card since valve has been working with gpu manufacturers. Certain drivers don't support a specific opengl call for nvidia and the game will crash every time if you have the wrong driver. It did crash a few times but its way less prone to crashing compared to what gmod use to be in wine. Not sure how it compares to windows on stability but 6 hours of messing around it crashed twice while I was standing around afk in single player. I wasn't able to determine the cause. Disabling focus stealing in kde makes it a little less derpy when running window mode. Sometimes it ignores your inputs even though the window is active.
