What works
The game seems to work once properly installed and patched.
What does not
The installer hangs at a "Please wait while Setup configures the components" dialog, which can be cancelled to complete the installation. Doing so can, however, leave a component in a broken state that winetricks --force xact_jun2010 seems to fix.
The Windows XP patch is also necessary.

It is best to install xact_jun2010 with winetricks before the installer, or it will leave a broken one in its place. Can also force it afterwards. X360 gamepad can work with the help of x360ce, when correctly setup.
