HowTo / Notes

Installation

For all  installations, it's a good idea to set the Windows version to Windows 8.

Set winetricks fontfix.

For 64-bit users:

Currently NatSpeak installs flawlessly in wine-1.7.4 and runs in any wine version up to wine-1.7.7. It installs flawlessly in 1.7.7 but then does not run. ??

That crashing sidebar - how to disable
For those who can't get to the disable sidebar option before dragon crashes, you can manually edit the ini file before starting dragon so the sidebar is disabled. Edit:

 '.wine/drive_c/users/Public/Application Data/Nuance/NaturallySpeaking12/Users/myprofilename/current/options.ini'

Add line:

Sample commands launch on open=0
