What works
I have a dual boot Win 7 x64 & Ubuntu 12.04 x86, so I did NOT need to use Wine to install - if someone can check this and update that would be great... (Edit Maintainer it install for me fine with wine 1.4, and should be fine with 1.5.)
Game runs flawlessly with vcrun2005 installed via Winetricks

You will need to install Visual C++ Libraries 2005 to run this game. The easiest way to do this is to type "winetricks vcrun2005" on the command line. If the command fails or winetricks is not found see the below link to download, and run the latest wintricks.

Note that many test reports don't report this requirement. I suspect many testers have already installed the required library.
