Steps used to install the game and to get the videos and music track working: $ export WINEPREFIX=$HOME/.local/share/wineprefixes/pod_gold_gog $ export WINEARCH=win32 # env LANG=C winetricks sandbox $ winecfg $ cd $WINEPREFIX/drive_c # http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/pod_gold $ wine setup_pod_2.0.0.19.exe # add vidc.IV41=ir41_32.dll to [drivers32] in windows/system.ini $ wine notepad c:\\windows\\system.ini # convert the music track from MP3 to WAVE $ lame --decode "GOG Games/POD GOLD/Track02.mp3" The installed Glide wrapper (glide2x.dll) includes hard-coded run-time patches for the installed program. Therefore you cannot change/update the PODX3Dfx.exe (GOG's glide2x.dll would patch the wrong memory locations) and/or use alternate Glide wrappers (the PODX3Dfx.exe is an unmodified original version with CD access/checks) without using PodHacks (http://svn.nicode.net/podhacks/).
